The Carpenter’s Helper is available for this week. Christmas and Advent event information is included.
Blessings to all in this new day as we await “for unto us a child in born, a son is given” the hope of the Christmas message, Love come to earth!
Well, some of our parish family got a bit of a jump on this hopeful prophecy!! We celebrate the birth of Ryan to Colleen Branigan yesterday, December 16, and blessings to grand parents Tracy and Steve Branigan … and today Lucas was born to Tori and Kevin Quinones, and blessings to grand parents Judy and Michael Grabowski! What a joyful gift to these families to add to the gift of the Presence of Jesus this Christmastide! CONGRATS to all, and prayers for healthy lives together!
With thanks, your servant in Christ,
Fr. Paul Gennett Jr.+
GREENING THE CHURCH
The Flower Guild would love your help in decorating the church for the Christmas season on Sunday, Dec. 20 following the 10:30 a.m. service. Sweepers, wrappers and other helpers are very much appreciated.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Please see St. Thomas’s newsletter for Dec. 13, 2015 and join us in rejoicing!
As the holiday season approaches, the needs of many in our area are served through wonderful ministries and programs. I continue to receive requests for help in numerous ways that my discretionary funds often cannot cover. I ask your prayers and help that if you would purchase a gift card that could help provide a tank of gas, or buy some needed grocery staples at a local store, or shop for basic clothing needs at a local Kmart or other store in the area. This is a wonderful way to meet the needs of others in these economically challenging times.
I particularly ask for holiday helping hearts in the form of extra gas, grocery, and local [K-Mart, Marshalls, Kohl’s, etc.] retail stores for two working families — a single father with three young children, and single mother with two daughters. Both are working to keep their family together now and in days ahead, and are not able to access local food banks or other resources due to working hours. If you wish to help them directly, please place your gift cards in an envelope for Parish Administrator Cami Seward, noting “Single Father” and/or “Single Mother”. For this special consideration, I am most grateful.
Thank you for your prayerfulness in considering a way to help those whose needs are greater than ours through the holidays and into New Year 2016.
