Summer Children’s Worship: Son Treasure Island begins on June 25

Summer Children’s Worship for children 3 years and older will begin on June 25 and run through August 20, 2017 during the 10:30 a.m. service. Children are invited to join the children’s worship leader in the Undercroft between 10:25 and 11:10 a.m. The children will then rejoin their families during the Peace. Our theme this year is Son Treasure Island: Discovering God’s Love. Throughout the summer we will have fun engaging in stories, art, drama, music and games while learning about the Greatest Treasure ever: God’s Love. Check out I Corinthians 13!

Parents and older family members are encouraged to sign up to assist with children’s worship a one or two Sundays this summer.

Summer 2017 Sunday School

Just a reminder that May 21 was the last day of regular Sunday School. We will begin a shortened summer version during the 10:30 a.m. service on June 25. In the meantime, there will be activities in canvas Welcome Bags in the back of the church for children (and adults) who need them.


Children’s Ministries Family Breakfast

See our flyer about our Annual Children’s Ministries Family Brunch on April 30. All are welcome, especially families with children in our children’s and youth ministry programs. It is a potluck but please feel free to come with just yourself!

When: April 30, 9:30 a.m. (Please try to arrive a few minutes early so we can gather our food offerings before we begin.)
Where: St. Thomas’s Great Hall
Who: Everyone, but especially children, youth and their families
What: Please bring a dish or breakfast item to share. Beverages will be provided.

Breakfast with Santa – An Event for All Ages

UNICEF Sunday – October 30

October 30 is UNICEF Sunday at St. Thomas’s. The children of St. Thomas’s will be participating in Trick or Treat for UNICEF again this year. We will spend the month of October talking about who and what the money collected is used for. On Oct. 30, the children will give a presentation during the 10:30 a.m. service and collect donations at offering time and after the services. Special fundraising activities will be announced in the coming weeks. Children’s Ministries will also host coffee hour on October 30. Please help us by practicing your child’s part with him or her, bringing your change (or larger amounts if you like) on Oct. 30 and/or bringing a sweet or savory snack to share for coffee hour.

Summer Sundays Children’s Worship: Camp Son Rock

Summer Children’s Worship for children 3 years and older will begin on June 12 and run through August 28 during the 10:30 a.m. service. Our theme this year is God Rocks! At our own Camp Son Rock, the children will hear a story or do an activity (art, drama, music, games, etc.) based on one of the many scripture passages which mention rocks as important guides to our faith and ministry. Check out Matthew 7:24-25! Children will gather in the Great Hall before the 10:30 service and proceed together to the undercroft. The children will rejoin their families at the Peace.
